The website is owned and operated by B. Cody Buriff, doing business as This Is Dad Life, LLC (“This Is Dad Life,” “I,” “me,” or “my”).

By accessing or using this website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

1. Eligibility

This website is intended for individuals who are at least 18 years old. By using the website, you represent that you are legally capable of agreeing to these Terms.

The website is directed primarily toward fathers and other adults interested in fatherhood, personal growth, relationships, and faith. It is not directed toward children.

2. Educational Content

The articles, videos, emails, downloads, book excerpts, exercises, and other material provided through This Is Dad Life, LLC are for general educational and informational purposes.

Content on this website is not intended to replace individualized advice from a qualified medical, mental-health, legal, financial, or other licensed professional. You are responsible for deciding whether and how to apply any information presented through the website.

Individual circumstances differ, and no website content can account for every person, relationship, family, or situation.

3. Coaching Is Not Counseling or Therapy

This Is Dad Life, LLC may offer personal-development and fatherhood coaching. Coaching is intended to help clients identify goals, understand patterns, consider choices, and take practical steps toward desired change.

Coaching provided through This Is Dad Life, LLC is not:

  • Psychotherapy or licensed mental-health counseling

  • Medical or psychiatric treatment

  • Diagnosis or treatment of a mental-health condition

  • Marriage or family therapy

  • Legal, financial, or medical advice

  • Emergency or crisis intervention

B. Cody Buriff’s training and certifications do not constitute representation that he is acting as a licensed mental-health provider.

If you are experiencing a mental-health emergency, believe that you or someone else may be in danger, or need clinical care, contact emergency services or an appropriately licensed professional. In the United States, you may call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.

4. No Coaching Relationship Created by the Website

Visiting this website, joining an email list, downloading a resource, submitting a form, applying for coaching, or participating in an introductory conversation does not create a coaching relationship.

A coaching relationship begins only after both parties agree to work together and complete any required coaching agreement, consent documents, and payment arrangements.

I reserve the right to accept or decline any coaching application. Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance or availability.

5. Separate Coaching Agreement

Paid coaching services are governed by a separate written coaching agreement. That agreement may address matters including:

  • Scope and limitations of coaching

  • Fees and payment

  • Scheduling and cancellations

  • Refunds

  • Communication between sessions

  • Privacy and confidentiality

  • Record retention

  • Client responsibilities

  • Ending the coaching relationship

If these website Terms conflict with a signed coaching agreement concerning coaching services, the coaching agreement will control for those services.

6. No Guaranteed Results

Personal growth, relationships, and fatherhood are affected by many factors outside my control. I do not promise or guarantee any particular personal, relational, spiritual, professional, or family outcome.

Testimonials and examples describe individual experiences. They do not represent or guarantee that every person will receive the same result.

Your progress depends partly on your circumstances, choices, participation, effort, and willingness to apply what is discussed.

7. Faith-Based Perspective

Some content and services may reflect a Christian understanding of identity, fatherhood, relationships, responsibility, grace, and personal growth.

You do not need to share every belief expressed on the website to use its public resources or inquire about coaching. References to faith or Scripture are not a substitute for professional pastoral, medical, or mental-health care.

8. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, all original content appearing on this website is owned by B. Cody Buriff or This Is Dad Life, LLC and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws.

If you submit a message, coaching application, testimonial, comment, or other material, you represent that:

  • It does not contain malicious code or attempts to interfere with the website

Submitting private information through a contact or coaching form does not grant me permission to publish it.

I will obtain separate permission before publicly using your name, likeness, testimonial, personal story, or identifying information for promotional purposes.

Nothing in these Terms prohibits you from giving an honest review or expressing an honest opinion about your experience.

10. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

The website may use or link to services operated by third parties, including Squarespace, Google Analytics, YouTube, and Acuity Scheduling or Calendly.

I do not control and am not responsible for the availability, security, accuracy, content, or privacy practices of third-party services. Your use of those services may be governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

A link to an outside resource does not necessarily constitute an endorsement of everything offered or expressed by that resource.

13. Website Availability and Accuracy

I try to keep the website accurate and available, but I do not guarantee that:

  • The website will be free from harmful components

  • All information will always be current, complete, or accurate

  • Particular content or services will remain available

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless B. Cody Buriff and This Is Dad Life, LLC from claims, liabilities, damages, and reasonable expenses arising from your unlawful use of the website, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of another person’s rights.

This section does not require you to indemnify anyone for conduct for which indemnification cannot legally be required.

17. Privacy

Your use of the website is also subject to the This Is Dad Life Privacy Policy, which explains how personal information is collected, used, disclosed, and protected.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any legal action arising from these Terms or use of the website will be brought in a court with appropriate jurisdiction in Hamilton County, Indiana, unless applicable consumer law requires a different location.

Before filing a legal action, each party agrees to make a reasonable, good-faith effort to resolve the dispute informally by written communication.

19. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed only to the extent necessary. The remaining provisions will continue in effect.

20. No Waiver

Failure to enforce a provision of these Terms does not waive the right to enforce that provision later.

I may revise these Terms as the website, services, or legal requirements change. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.

Your continued use of the website after revised Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of those revisions.

Material changes affecting paid services will not retroactively alter a signed coaching agreement unless both parties agree or applicable law requires the change.
